The Uruguayan Educator Exchange Program is a short-term, mutual exchange opportunity for US and Uruguay school principals and teachers, fully funded by the US State Department. The program consists of both US hosting of Uruguayan educators and a two-week summer travel program in Uruguay for American educators. It gives participants the opportunity to share best practices and work together on educational issues of mutual interest. This program is open only to full-time teachers or administrators who are fluent in Spanish, and have at least three years experience in a K-12 school with a strong Spanish language, immersion, or bilingual program. The program includes a hosting stipend for each grantee.
